According to a publication by Explica.co some inhabitants of the José Antonio Galán neighbourhood, in Mangangué, Colombia ignored the curfew due to the coronavirus pandemic to appreciate an unusual image that appeared in a tree.
After they appreciated the supposed image of Jesus Christ in a tree, they were convinced that it is to protect them against the deadly coronavirus.
According to local media, some people gathered in front of the image to plead with Him and ask Him with great Faith to protect the inhabitants of Magangué from the pandemic.
There were even people with greater devotion, and it was they who lit candles as well as raised their prayers to God while relating the strange image with the next celebration of Easter.
“It looks clear and everyone is praying to him and asking him to cure the earth of this evil and to protect Magangué,” said a town clothing merchant identified as Agustina Díaz.
Local journalist Rodolfo Zambrano said:
“The image He appeared on the night of last Sunday and the people ran with candles and turned that place into a pilgrimage point, which has the inhabitants of the neighbourhood very worried because the faithsul came in droves”.
The local bishop has not yet spoken about this unusual event, and he was also not informed by the regional media if the authorities took any action against the people who disregarded the order to stay home.
