Confusion enveloped the ancient city of Kano following report that a teacher, Mr Femi Oguntumi, of Dakata quarters, has committed suicide in Kano.

The staff of Karish College, did not leave any note to ascertain why he committed suicide.

The deceased was said to have hung himself on a ceiling fan in his room at about 10pm on Thursday, according to Nation’s report .

Police Spokesman, DSP Haruna Abdullahi, who confirmed the incident, said they have already deposited Femi’s corpse at the Murtala Muhammad Hospital.

He said the Police have immediately commenced investigation into the actual reason oguntumi committed suicide.

The police commissioner has ordered investigation into what made oguntumi into committing suicide.
