Africa’s wealthiest man and philanthropist, Aliko Dangote is the only African billionaire competing among top 100 members of the three-comma club in the world.
According to the Bloomberg Billionaire Index, the billionaire industrialist is the 75th richest man in the world in 2019.
In the last one year he has added another $6 billion to his wealth, thereby maintaining his wealth status on the African soil at $6.5billion as of July 5th 2019.
His wealth is more than the combined wealth of the two richest billionaires in Egypt;Nassef Sawiris ($7billion) and Naguib Sawiris (5.19billion)
As at last year the billionaire had said he wants to become the biggest philanthropist in Africa besides the continent’s richest man.
In his speech, he said
This motivation gave birth to Aliko Dangote Foundation on whose platform more than #2 billion had been disbursed across states.
