Today marks five years from the day the heroic Dr. Stella Ameyo Adadevoh passed after saving Nigeria from the Ebola epidemic.

Her relative, Kwami Adadevoh took to Twitter to remember the doctor whose humanitarian act prevented the spread of Ebola in Nigeria.

Sharing a photo of her, he wrote: “Five years gone, not forgotten on any day. Continue to Rest In Peace.”

Today, August 19, is also World Humanitarian Day and a number of Twitter users are taking advantage of the opportunity to honour Dr. Adadevoh as a humanitarian on her death anniversary.

“She died for us,” @DrUdomoh tweeted.
