26-year-old accountant identified as Evgenia Shulyatyeva, was confirmed dead minutes after a phone she was charging fell into the bath she was in.
She was found dead by her 53-year-old mother, Vera who rushed to her apartment when she failed to respond to her messages.
Though it is not clear if Ms Shulyatyeva was using the device at the time of the accident, but it is believed to have ‘slipped’ into the tub while on charge.
The funeral of Evgenia who has been getting tributes on social media is expected to take place tomorrow in Kirovo-Chepetsk, 620 miles northeast of Moscow. Local news platforms reported that the Russian Investigative Committee is still investigating the incident.
