Social media users have taken to Twitter to react after Leicester City, the surprise 2015 English premier league winners secured a 9-0 away win over Southampton on Friday night after Ayoze Perez and Jamie Vardy scored hat-tricks on a very wild night of football for Leicester fans.
Ben Chilwell put Leicester ahead in the 10th minute after Harvey Barnes’ beautiful assist, then Southampton defender Ryan Bertrand was sent off for a challenge on Perez.
Leicester city aware of their numerical advantage seized control of the game as Youri Tielemans and Perez scored. Perez scored another goal and Vardy also scored, with half time ending 5-0 in Leicester’s favour. In the second half, Perez and Vardy both managed to score again with youngster James Maddison scoring a free-kick, before club captain Jamie Vardy got his third goal of the game from the penalty spot.
