Some Students of Electrical Department, School of Engineering, Yaba College of Technology, are delighted upon the completion of a Solar-powered Electric Car.
It was gathered that it is the first solar-powered car in Africa and this great project was executed by some YABATECH students with the supervision of Engr. Nosa Uwogbiren.
Dr Christopher Ogbonnaya, Nigeria Minister of science and technology inspected the car and was driven with the car, in Eagle Square, Abuja during the exhibition.
According to newsmen, Dr Ogbonnaya, in an interview promised that he will support the School to make the Car more conducive and reliable.
Everyone present was amazed at the beautiful project and they all embrace the technology. While some commented on how useful it would be, others said a problem has been solved.
