Two armed robbers has been shot dead at the Tema Community 1 TDC junction in Ghana.
The armed robbers reportedly died from a gun shootout with the police whiles they tried to rob a Lebanese man.
The Lebanese businessman is said to have withdrawn an amount of Gh¢123,000 from the Bank (Sinapiaba Savings and Loans) at Tema. However, over suspicions by unknown motorists, the bank attendants gave the businessman a police escort for protection.
In a video sited by Nasoweseeamonline, the Lebanese man who drove a black Chevrolet was robbed in broad daylight. In the video, one of the armed robbers blocked the road with a motorcycle while the accomplice was seen attacking the Lebanese man. The Police escort managed to gun down one of the robbers while the other fled with the money, injured but reportedly died leaving the money scattered on the street according to reports by the Ghana Police Service.

“This afternoon, 23/04/2020 one Mashood Hamid called on the Tema Regional CID to report that at about 12.30pm he went to the Zenith Bank, Tema Branch to withdraw 123, 345.00Ghc but was robbed by two people on a motorbike who immobilized his car by shooting at the tyres, on reaching the TDC traffic light.
Police responded and exchanged fire with the robbers. The two robbers died in the process, while the money scattered on the streets and were scrambled by people around, leaving only 2,500.00 Ghc salvaged by the complainant.
This is a warning to all criminally minded persons to turn over a new leaf and an assurance to well meaning Ghanaians and residents that your Police is at work”.
