The leader of IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu yesterday, during is over 3 hours lengthy video, stated that as soon as you see women tying two-piece wrapper, you’ll know you are in Biafra land.
According to him, this is coming after somebody kept saying to him that they want to see Biafra map, “are you that dumped, are you that stupid? did you not see Ojukwu had a map when Biafra was declared, or haven’t you see Biafra map on Google”? He asked the person. But he kept insisting that he is not Ojukwu, “since you said Elohim sent you to do this very job, therefore show us the boundaries of Biafra”, the person argued
“If you are entering Biafra land from the North, from the East, or from the west because you cannot approach Biafra from the sea, as you are travelling along, you will see many people, you see many women, you will see many traditions, you will see many cultures but as soon as you see women tieing 2-piece wrapper, you’ll know you are in the land of Biafra” he explained.
According to Mazi Kanu, he said he told the person that anywhere women stopped tying 2-piece wrapper, you’ll know you are at the boundary of Biafra, and the person was flabbergasted and couldn’t understand it, and he proceeded by asking him the meaning of a nation and the person replied that Nigeria is a nation. “No Nigeria is not a nation, it is not even a country. Nigeria is a contraption, whereas Biafra is a nation”.
The person was still not convinced with his explanation, he said, he then told the person that Biafra has been in existence for over 5 thousand years, that Biafra existed before Zamfara and Benin, stating that Benin and Zamfara are the two oldest kingdoms we have in the whole of West Africa.
Mazi Kanu continued with his gospel of truth as he called it, saying that “Biafra is a nation, a nation before Britain, Biafra is older than Greece, and Nigeria is not and will never be a Nation”.
He further stated that a nation must share the same cultural values, not the same language or religion but the same culture, comparing the way Efik, Igbanke, Igbo, Idoma, Itsekiri, Ijaw, Urhobo, Isoko women dresses, he added that our mothers truly define who we are and where we are heading, finalizing that these women have the same culture.
