Murphy Uyi, the Germany based Edo man that has been calling out the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, on social media has been issued a court order.
It was reported that the Oba of Benin, through some Edo indigenes in Germany has sued Murphy Uyi in a Germany Court for defamation of character, and the first hearing of the case has been slated for 17 June, the affidavit reads.
This was first announced by Eddie Idahosa aka Social Media President, who was once disgraced by the same Benin Palace in November 2018, (click here to watch the video) but he was later pardoned and he is now, presumably, the spokesman to the Palace in Europe, Eddie makes it look so, seeing that he is always first to report messages from the Palace through his Facebook page via is live stream.
The copy of the affidavit duly signed by the Oba of Benin and dated May 20, 2020, written in Deutsch but was later translated into English by the said Murphy Uyi. See below;
A part of the affidavit that was published on Murphy Uyi Facebook page Igodo/Idu descendants read in part, that;
-Murphy Uyi has repeatedly published on Facebook that I (Oba) make human sacrifices.
– That I (Oba) slept with my daughter, Princess Ikuoyemwen Ewuare, raped her and committed atrocities on her.
-That I (Oba) put curses on people.
-That I (Oba) imprison Edo children and deny them access to education.
-That I (Oba) murdered people.
-Murphy Uyi describes me (Oba) as a terrorist and a rapist and claims that, I live in lavish wealth while the population dies in poverty and prostitution.
-That I misappropriate funds.
-He calls me ‘Coronavirus’.
-Murphy Uyi calls to destroy me so that the Edo people can be free.
-Murphy Uyi threatened and promised to kill me.
Stated also in the affidavit is that, with Murphy Uyi’s threats and untruthful allegations, he is trying to provoke the people to incite violence against him, adding that the father of 2 girls, Murphy has damaged his reputation and the concluding part reads;
I bring no human sacrifices, have not raped or slept with my daughter or committed other atrocities on her, I do not curse people and do not imprison children. I have not murdered or had anyone murdered, nor have I embezzled any money.
Murphy Uyi who is also a staunch supporter of governor Obaseki lead administration said he is not intimidated by any letter or court order because he believes the Oba of Benin is trying to deprive him of his fundamental human rights, which is his freedom of speech, insisted that he has books and videos as proves that he will use to defeat the Oba anywhere.
