Murphy Uyi, the Germany based Edo man who has been calling out the Benin monarch Oba Ewaure II on social media was not present in court on Wednesday.
Nasoweseeamonline reported earlier about the court order that was issued to the said Murphy Uyi who has been labelled as the No. 1 enemy of the palace of Benin, because of his negative utterances and accusations against the Oba. Read here for the initial report.
The first hearing of the case was slated for Wednesday, June 17, but Murphy Uyi was not present in Klefeld Court, Germany to defend himself on the accusations levelled against him.
According to the Edo people who came from far and near in support of the Oba of Benin to Klefeld, the town where Uyi resides, Uyi was said to have suddenly fallen sick overnight of persistent diarrhoea.
Speaking in the video that was live stream from the front of the court by blogger Mr Osadiaye also known as Enogie is the legal representative of the monarch who said, the Judge allegedly decided that Uyi is not authorized to say anything about the Oba again, or he will be punished. In her words;
The judge decided that Mr Uyi is not authorized to say or to do the things he did and that if he’s going to do it again, he will be punished
The video was also shared by Uyi on his Facebook page, making it difficult to explain what the self-acclaimed Ogiso reincarnate is up to.

But Mr Uyi, as usual, was on Facebook live streaming from his page on Wednesday evening where he claimed to be teaching Benin history. He also shared his previous post and a video where the Oba addressed dignitaries during his coronation, he was heard saying ‘Orominyan stay in Benin may have been short but before he left a child was born to him, who was later crown an Oba and he is known today as Eweka I’ and he added that he is the ’40th Oba of Benin a direct descendant of Oriminyan.’
