A community in Kumba, Southwest Region, Western Cameroon, popularly referred to as “K-town” is currently mourning, following the death of two brothers identified as Kibem Christopher 4 and New Becabery 2, after eating the Irish potatoes that were reportedly prepared by their mom.
It was gathered that after they finished eating, they went out to play with other children just like every other day, not quite long neighbours called on their mom that her children were complaining of stomach ache.
The mom hurriedly carried the children to her pastor for prayers, after hours of prayers and speaking in tongues, they decided to rush the children to the hospital.
Sadly they died.
Reporting the news, Esaw Dilis Gist wrote;
This one happen Na for Kumba. Some two pikin them way their names Na Kibem Christopher 4 years old and new Becabery 2 years old, them chop Irish potatoes way their mami cook am. They go outside start play as normal pikin them. Later them call their mami say pikin them di complain belle bite. Mami take pikin go Na for pastor. After hours of “roboshaba” the pikin them die. Na time that way they do rush go general hospital. Na the pikin them that sleep fo dey so. Gone!!!! Chaiiiii no me oooo
