As the Edo governorship elections draw near, campaigns are toughening up and predictions are popping in from both pastors and witch doctors (seers), one thing is sure, elections in Edo State has never been observed in this manner before, the governor decamping from APC to PDP just days before the primary elections, followed by campaigns and opinions from the Edo indigenes in the diaspora, most of them backing the incumbent governor for a second term, that is speaking mainly from the reactions we see on the social media, also putting into consideration that the diasporas are not entitled to vote online but obviously, they can influence their families and friends back home.
Pictured above is a popular native doctor who introduced himself as a ‘strong native doctor’ and a Chief from Urohi ward 8, Esan West, Edo State. The seer said he saw in the realm of the spirits that governor Obaseki swallowed up his political opponent Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.
“You are the giant snake, I saw it that you have swallowed Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu”, says the seer.
Speaking in Bini language, he said the gods of the land, the moon and the stars are all with him and that they have given governor Obaseki their approval. So he is congratulating the governor in advance and he thanked God for giving him victory over his political opponent.
“You didn’t look for us, we looked for you and we have found you worthy to rule over us”, says the seer in Bini language
He went on to say that his opponent is campaigning for nothing. Speaking on Ize-Iyamu;
A man who embezzled 700 million naira when is he not yet a governor, if he eventually becomes the governor, will he pay workers? he asked.
