Four suspected bandits were killed in an encounter with troops of Operation Accord on Wednesday September 2, at Jeka Da Rabi area along Kaduna-Abuja expressway, Kaduna State.
The Coordinator of Defence Media Operations, Major General John Enenche said in a statement released on Thursday September 3, that the operation was in continuation of the “sustained offensive against armed bandits and other criminal elements in the country.”
He said the troops mobilised to the area, laid ambush following credible intelligence on the movement of bandits from Kachia area and subsequently engaged them with superior firepower thereby “neutralising” four, while others escaped with gunshots wounds.
