A young Congolese lady has attacked the former Deputy Prime Minister of Italy, Matteo Salvini while walking in a street in Pontassieve in the province of Florence.
“Io to maledico”(I curse you) the lady was heard saying repeatedly, she reportedly lowered his face mask, tore the hem of Salvini’s shirt and destroyed his rosary, ilfattoquotidiano reports.
The leader of the Lega Nord Party later wrote in a post on his Facebook page. “I can buy the torn shirt again, the Rosary torn violently from the neck that a parish priest had given me unfortunately no. To this anger I answer with a smile and with work, long live the Italy of women and men who believe in freedom, serenity and work “.
“For the lady who attacked and insulted me – concludes the leader of the League – I feel no anger, only pain and sadness. Forward, without fear and with my head held high”.
