Nigerians are lashing THE NATION newspaper on the social media bird app, Twitter, following their publication where the popular Nigeria news outlet wrote that “Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki last night failed to clearly defend his government’s performance in critical areas of job creation, healthcare provision, agriculture, security and infrastructure development…”
You can recall that there was a debate organised by Channels Television and its partners yesterday Sunday, September 13 to enable Obaseki, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate and Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) contender, to sell their candidature to the people before the Edo State governorship election that will hold on Saturday, September 19.
According to THE NATION, Governor Godwin Obaseki failed in the debate as he was rattled by Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu on performance.
However, taking to the same bird app where the article was also shared, apparently, most Nigerians have expressed their disappointment calling THE NATION out, noting that the article is biased and misleading.
