Internationally acclaimed Borno documentary photographer, Fati Abubakar has advised women from the North to investigate prospestive grooms before getting married.
According to Fati, some of the men don’t have houses, jobs and are living off their parents.
“Always investigate if the men that want to marry you have a home to actually house you in or the means to do so. Or are you both being take care of by Mommy and Daddy,” Fati wrote on Twitter
“Some marriage proposals are a scam in Northern Nigeria. Is a local man able to do what he says he will do”
