Member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and ex-governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose has stated that the nation is in coma and life support as it turns 60.
He said the only thing that will revive the nation is the resignation of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The former governor, who said there was nothing to celebrate in a country bedevilled with insecurity, hunger, bare-faced corruption and bad governance, argued Buhari’s resignation will serve as a life-restoring parting gift for Nigerians.
Fayose, in a statement by his spokesperson, Lere Olayinka, to mark the occasion of Nigeria’s 60th Independence Anniversary, described Nigeria as a cowed nation.
He said: “It is no longer a democracy when people cannot ventilate their grievances against government freely.”
