VIDEO| You Cannot Believe In Jesus And Be Afraid Of Touching Viruses – Pastor Oyakhilome Blows Hot On Pastors Who Are Terrified Of Coronavirus

0
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has again lashed out at Church leaders following the ban on religious gathering which is yet to be lifted due to the increased number of Coronavirus cases in the country.
In a televised service the founder of Loveworld Ministries a.k.a Christ Embassy presided over, he stated that one can’t believe in Jesus and be afraid of touching Coronavirus patients and those with other viruses.
He reiterated his claim of churches still being shut because some church leaders have insisted that for places of worship to reopen, health guidelines he (Pastor Chris) described as “wicked” must be observed. Some of the guidelines include wearing gloves to lay hands on the sick and suspension of holy communion.
Pastor Chris insisted that what church leaders are inadvertently planning is “persecution of Christians” as leaders in the country might currently be mocking Christians.

VIDEO| Asari Dokubo says Nnamdi Kanu Wants To Kill Christians, Muslims & Turn Biafra To Jewish State

0
The former leader of the Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force (NDPVF) Asari Dokubo has accused the leaders of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu, of promoting religious intolerance.
The Ex-Niger Delta warlord stated this while reacting to a recent video by Nnamdi Kanu, where the IPOB leader declared that all Nigerian pastors are evil.
“Every pastor in Nigeria is evil. If you’re going to church, you’re going to hell! Direct! Because the message you’re receiving, they’re from messengers of darkness, of liars and deceivers,” Kanu had said.

Reacting in a video shared on his Facebook page, Asari Dokubo said he could not work with Nnamdi Kanu, whom he described as an ‘idiot’, because the Biafra he (Dakubo) his fighting for would guarantee religious freedom.
He accused the IPOB leader of promoting religious intolerance against non-followers of Judaism, alleged that Kanu and his followers are planning to kill Christians and Muslims in the proposed country and make Biafra “a Jewish State”.
“All of us are Biafrans, a set of Biafrans now decide that they have the right of life and death over all of us, that they are going to kill all Christians, that they’re going to close down all churches, ” Dokubo said.
“They have started going, breaking down the monuments of Mary, Angel Gabriel and all sort of things, they have proclaimed our Biafra, our own Biafra, a Jewish state.
“They are going to kill all Moslems, including myself, a critical stakeholder, a formal stakeholder in our Biafra – they will kill me! They will kill every member of my family, they will kill every Muslim.
“And they say go and work with Nnamdi Kanu, go and work with Nnamdi Kanu. Who is this idiot you want me to go and work with?
“What are his credentials in our struggle? He rants. What is his badge of honour? 76 times in detention, still counting. I have not given up, I have not run away. I am not Ben Johnson, I am not Usain Bolt.”

My uncle who is a Boko Haram member raped me and I can’t forgive the sect – Teenager recounts

0

A teenager who was raped by her uncle who is a member of Boko Haram terrorist group, has narrated how the incident turned her life her life around, negatively.

The lady said the incident occurred after Boko Haram members attacked her village, killed all the men and took the women into exile. She further revealed that her uncle was killed following a disagreement among the group, an incident that led to her being married off to another member of the sect.

Speaking to BBC on June 19 (a day set aside annually by the United Nations to address sexual violence), she said;

“The incident happened on a Tuesday as Boko Haram entered our town, killed all the men, burnt all our houses and took those of us that are women along.

“My uncle, who is also a Boko Haram member, then told me to stand up and follow him, that I had become his property. He started raping me since that day.

“He was, however, killed after some time following disagreement between him and other Boko Haram members. I was married off to another member of the sect.”

The girl who is undergoing her secondary education and has a dream of becoming a soldier, recounted the stigma she faced alongside other girls when they arrived the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp in Bama.

She added;

“Anywhere we go to, people do stigmatise us as wives of Boko Haram members as if it’s our fault. Personally, l can’t forgive Boko Haram for life because of what they did to me.

“My dream in life is to complete my education and become a soldier, then fly a plane and bomb every Boko Haram member. I’ll like to see them (Boko Haram) end in Nigeria.”

11 year old Child dies after parents force him to drink 96 ounces of Water In four hours

A Colorado couple turned were arrested after a coroner examination concluded that their son died of forced water intoxication.

Zachary Sabin, 11, died on March 11 after his father Ryan and stepmother Tara forced him to drink four 24-ounce bottles of water within a four-hour span without eating.

According to the Colorado Springs Gazette, the boy’s father, Ryan, and stepmother Tara forced him to drink 24-ounce bottles of water within four hours without eating, which caused the boy’s death.

11 year old Child dies after parents force him to drink 96 ounces of Water In four hours?

According to Zachary’s parents, the child had a hereditary urological disorder that caused him to wet the bed which made them force the kid to drink two 32-ounce bottles of water every day after seeing that his urine was getting dark.

According to the report, the eve of Zachary’s death, Ryan said that the boy was drinking water and throwing up, and as the family continued to eat dinner, he told Zachary to chug the water like he would do when he was in the Army. He said the boy was “drinking the water too slowly and getting air in his stomach, which caused the water to sit on top of it.”

After the boy finished drinking, he reportedly started acting weird on the floor, crying out to his father that there was a pain in his legs.

Ryan, in order to get him off the floor, kicked him but then picked him up and dropped him back on the ground.

In the process, his head ended up hitting the ground hard.

According to the report, Ryan then took his son outside in hopes that the cold air would “snap Zachary out of his tantrum.”

Throughout the night, Zachary paced around the kitchen acting drunk and making weird noises which his dad said he thought was due to pain. One of the other five children said they saw Zachary throw up at least 10 times before he went to sleep at around 11:15 p.m.

In the morning his dad called 911 after seeing his son foaming from his mouth with blood on his bed. A coroner also found blood on the child’s forehead and left eyebrow as well as a bruise on his head, arm, rear end, and shin.

The other kids aged 2 to 15 also had been abused according to a court affidavit.

The kids are now under the care of the Colorado Department of Human Services.

Both parents have now been charged with first-degree murder, child abuse resulting in death, and six counts of misdemeanour child abuse.

Zachary’s biological mother reacting to his death said that her son was an avid reader who dreamed of being a veterinarian or zoologist.

Trump loses in court as Judge rejects request to stop release of ex-adviser, John Bolton’s tell-all book

0

A lawsuit filed to stop the publication of a tell-all book by John Bolton, Donald Trump’s third national security adviser has been struck out by a federal judge.

Judge Royce Lamberth of the US District Court in Washington DC who noted that Mr Bolton had “gambled” with US national security and “exposed his country to harm”, maintained that the US government had “failed to establish that an injunction would prevent irreparable harm”.

Lamberth said;

“In taking it upon himself to publish his book without securing final approval from national intelligence authorities, Bolton may indeed have caused the country irreparable harm.

“But in the internet age, even a handful of copies in circulation could irrevocably destroy confidentiality. A single dedicated individual with a book in hand could publish its contents far and wide from his local coffee shop. With hundreds of thousands of copies around the globe – many in newsrooms – the damage is done. There is no restoring the status quo.

“For reasons that hardly need to be stated, the Court will not order a nationwide seizure and destruction of a political memoir.”

Though the judge averred that Bolton could still be exposed to criminal liability, his Saturday ruling quickly dispels a long-shot attempt by the Trump administration to stymy the book’s release — an attempt roundly condemned as antithetical to the First Amendment.

While the President Trump had said the book is “made up of lies and fake stories”, the justice department on its own part said that the book had not been properly vetted. Mr Bolton’s lawyers however dismissed the claim, insisting that the manuscript was thoroughly examined and that Mr Trump simply did not like the contents.

The memoir, titled “The Room Where it Happened,” is officially set for publication on Tuesday, but physical and digital copies of the book have been circulating in Washington for several days, generating a flurry of unflattering headlines for the White House. And 200,000 copies of the book have been sent to resellers, according to Bolton’s publisher.

Published excerpts from his book have proved highly embarrassing to Trump, revelations including what Bolton says is impeachable conduct in seeking re-election help from foreign countries, China among them, and the president’s ignorance of basic geopolitical realities.

Bolton was national security adviser between April 2018 and September 2019, when he resigned. Trump claimed to have fired him.

Why I raped and killed my sister-in-law – Suspect

0
A suspect identified as Aminu Bala who allegedly raped and killed his sister-in-law has confessed to the reason why he committed the heinous crime.
The incident according to reports happened at Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State. Bala confessed, in an interview with The Punch, to the crime stating that he did it because of his brother’s perceived hatred towards him.
Read excerpts from the interview below:
Where are you from?
I am from Damaga village, Maradun Local Government Area in Zamfara State. I am a labourer. I did not attend any school.
You have been arrested for allegedly raping and killing your elder brother’s wife. Is it true?
Yes, I committed the offence.
Why did you rape and kill your sister-in-law?
I did it because I was not on good terms with my elder brother, Iliyasu Bala.
Why?
I have not been on good terms with my elder brother since he sacked me as a labourer at the place where he works as a bricklayer. There was a disagreement between us and as the person heading the place, he sacked me. Since then, I have been jobless.
Why didn’t you talk to your brother instead of killing his wife, who had nothing to do with it?
I can’t kill him because he is stronger than me. I cannot face him. I expressed my anger by killing his wife because of what he did to me.
How did you feel after raping and killing an innocent woman?
I felt sad but I also felt I taught my brother a good lesson for sacking me from the job I had. I know I would be punished for what I did.
How do you feel now that you have been arrested?
I do not feel anything. All I know is that I will face the consequences of my action. I was shot in the leg by the police who came to arrest me.

‘It’s hard as an African American to represent a country where people aren’t equal’ – DeAndre Yedlin says he’s considering quitting United States national team

0

DeAndre Yedlin has revealed he is considering quitting the United States national team because of the racial discrimination in his home country.

The Newcastle defender, 26, who has African-American, Native-American, and Jewish-Latvian heritage has condemned the prejudice against black people following the continued protests across the world since the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minnesota police officers.

Speaking about quitting the US national team, Yedlin told Sky Sports: ‘It’s something I’ve thought a lot about during this quarantine.

‘My grandfather, my grandmother especially, I have a whole family of activists, they’ve always told me to stand up for what I believe in.

‘There’s no amount of money that can make me shut up about something I think is wrong.

‘It’s one of those waiting games to see if a change does happen. But if things go as they stand it’s hard for me as an African American male to represent a country that does things like this where all people aren’t equal.’

Yedlin believes the Premier League’s decision to replace all players’ names with ‘Black Lives Matter’ will send a powerful message from “the world’s sport”.

“If kids start seeing it on the back of players’ jerseys they start raising questions,” he says.

AUDIO| Black Parade: Beyonce drops surprise new track and launches directory of black-owned businesses

0
Beyoncé did not let Juneteenth pass without dropping one of her signature surprises — a new single called “Black Parade”, her first new solo music since she contributed to The Lion King companion album last year.
“I’m going back to the South, I’m going back where my roots ain’t watered down,” Beyoncé sings, opening the track. At several points on Friday’s release, the singer tells listeners to “Follow my parade.”
Proceeds from the song will benefit Black-owned small businesses, a message entitled “Black Parade Route” on the singer’s website said. The post included links to dozens of Black-owned businesses.
“Happy Juneteenth. Being Black is your activism. Black excellence is a form of protest. Black joy is your right,” the message said.
Juneteenth commemorates when the last enslaved African Americans learned they were free. While the 1862 Emancipation Proclamation freed slaves in the South beginning Jan. 1, 1863, it wasn’t enforced in many places until after the end of the Civil War two years later. Confederate soldiers surrendered in April 1865, but word didn’t reach the last enslaved Black people until June 19, when Union soldiers brought the news of freedom to Galveston, Texas.
“We got rhythm, we got pride, we birth kings, we birth tribes,” Beyoncé sings toward the end of the nearly five-minute song.
Juneteenth — typically a day of both joy and pain — was marked with new urgency this year, amid weekslong protests over police brutality and racism sparked by the May 25 death of George Floyd, a Black man, at the hands of Minneapolis police.
Beyoncé spoke out on social media in the wake of Floyd’s death.
“We’re broken and we’re disgusted. We cannot normalize this pain,” she said in an Instagram video that called for people to sign a petition demanding justice for Floyd.
The singer also joined the call for charges against the officers involved in the killing of Breonna Taylor, who was gunned down in March by officers who burst into her Kentucky home. Beyoncé wrote in a letter Sunday to Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron that the three Louisville police officers “must be held accountable for their actions.” Cameron has asked for patience amid a probe, but Louisville’s mayor announced Friday that one of the officers would be fired.

Ooh, yeah, I can’t forget my history is her-story, yeah
Being black, maybe that’s the reason why they always mad
Yeah, they always mad, yeah
Been past ’em, I know that’s the reason why they all big mad
And they always have been

Now here we come on our thrones, sittin’ high
Follow my parade, oh, my parade

We got rhythm (We got rhythm), we got pride (We got pride)
We birth kings (We birth kings), we birth tribes (We birth tribes)
Holy river (Holy river), holy tongue (Holy tongue)
Speak the glory (Speak the glory), feel the love (Feel the love)
Motherland, motherland drip on me, hey, hey, hey

Leave if you feel Nigeria is stifling you but don’t forget to give back – Nigerian Professor writes

A Nigerian Professor of Public Health, Ann Amuta has advised Nigerians who feel the country is stifling them to leave.
Amuta who told prospective migrants not to forget giving back when they become successful in the country they settle in, backed her tweets by recounting how a married couple she’s friends with migrated to the US in 2010 and now earn a combined salary of $750k annually.
She tweeted;
A married couple I am very good friends with who went to med school in Nigeria migrated to the US in 2010. They told me they could barely afford their flights. In 2020, their combined salary is around $750k annually. The guy is in general surgery, his wife pediatrics.
They have so much now and have done so much for their families back home. Even built houses and started a business for his mom. My point is…if you feel Nigeria is stifling you, leave but don’t forget to give back when you make it abroad.
The wife told me to add that her mother in-law now has 11 employees in her business; the one her son started for her. So their migration has indirectly benefited so many more families back home….pretty incredible! Brain drain is not economically all bad.
