A 34-year-old Nigerian man, residing in South Africa, Samuel Nkennaya was served jungle justice for a false accusation of kidnapping.
Nnkenaya, who was reportedly mobbed to death and his friend, Chinonso Nwudo were attacked by a group of South Africans, over a false alarm of kidnapping of a 6-year-old girl, Chinonye, who was actually confirmed to be Nwudo’s daughter.
The event was said to have taken place on the evening of April 27th, when Nwudo, Chinonye’s father, took his daughter to visit his friend, Nkennaya, who resided at White River, Mpumalanga, South Africa.
The two friends decided to go buy food for the little girl when the unthinkable happened. Some bystanders raised an alarm, claiming that the two friends had actually kidnapped Chinonye.
Shortly after, a group of people from the community launched an attack on Nwudo and Nkennaya, without bothering to find out if the allegation was true or not.
The two men kept on begging and insisting that the accusation was false, but all their pleas fell on deaf ears until Nwudo pleaded with them to speak to his South African wife to confirm that the little girl, Chinonye was his daughter.
Upon Police intervention, the mob of attackers were disbanded, but not before inflicting major injuries on the two men.
Nkennaya later died at the hospital on April 28, while Nwudo is still in a very critical condition.
