Police officials and a Search and Rescue team were shocked to find a decomposed body of a man in the ceiling of a hospital in South Africa.
On Friday, members of Search and Rescue, the Durban K9 unit and police officials who were called out to the trauma unit of the Mahatma Gandhi hospital in Phoenix, south of Durban found a decomposing body of a man in the ceiling.
According to TimesLive, Police had to remove some of the ceiling panels, above shelves stacked with files and paper, to reach the body.
KwaZulu-Natal spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Thulani Zwane said that an inquest docket had been opened.
“An investigation is under way to identify and determine how it got there,” added Zwane.
It will take serious investigations and test to identify the decomposed body. The quickest way to identify a body is by fingerprint. Dental records can take longer, depending on how long it takes to locate and request them. When there are no finger prints, Dental records might be the the next option. This is to say it might take a while for the body to be identified except he had some form of IDs on him that can lead to an easy identification.
