International flights in Nigeria resumed operations today September 5 after many months of closure.

The airspace was closed in March 2020, as part of measures to contain the spread of COVID-19.

A Middle East Airlines plane from Beirut was the first international flight that landed at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport Lagos with 222 passengers and 17 crew members this afternoon.
